Where to play bomb pots online
Of the sites we could check, WPT Global, Americas Cardroom and BC Poker deal single board bomb pots, a few big blinds from every player at set or random intervals. Double board bomb pots showed up at fewer places: Phenom Poker and KKPoker in Omaha, and bomb pots on CoinPoker's double board tables. Here is what each one runs, as far as we could verify it, and where each fact comes from. We have no deal with any of these sites.
Sites and apps with bomb pots
| Site | Game | Ante and frequency | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| WPT Global | Hold'em, single board (review) | Each player puts in 8 big blinds; about every 12 minutes at random on enabled tables | PokerNews; format from SoMuchPoker review |
| Americas Cardroom (ACR) | Hold'em and PLO, single board | Up to four an hour during happy hours, then on designated tables | Gambling911; SoMuchPoker review |
| CoinPoker | Bomb pot cash tables, also on double board tables | 1 to 4 big blinds; "every hand" tables and "random" tables | PokerListings (search summary) |
| Phenom Poker | PLO 4, 5 and 6 cards, double board | Antes from $0.50 to $400; no folding preflop | Phenom changelog, Sept 2025 |
| KKPoker | PLO 4, 5 and 6, single and double board | Random ante of 1 to 5 big blinds | SoMuchPoker review |
| BC Poker | Hold'em and PLO, single board | 5 big blinds; every 8 to 12 minutes | SoMuchPoker review |
| PokerBros (club app) | Hold'em; can combine with double board | Ante 1 to 5 big blinds or a random range; default every 5 hands, set by the club | SoMuchPoker (sponsored article) |
| Poker Now (home games) | Bomb pots (PLUS members) and double board, cash games | Ante as a multiple of the big blind; frequency as a share of hands | Poker Now announcements, 2024 |
On club apps such as PPPoker and ClubGG, secondary sources say the club sets the ante and how often, so two clubs on the same app can play very different games. Sites change their tables often: check the lobby, where bomb pot tables usually carry a bomb icon, before you deposit for them.
Not confirmed: GGPoker (one review says private high stakes tables only) and PokerStars (no standing bomb pot tables found; bomb pots appear in its shows and promotions).
Online bomb pots play differently
- Fewer players. Online tables are often six-handed. With six players an average hand gets a sixth of the pot, not an eighth, and the strong hands win more often than at a full live table.
- Single board. Many of the online bomb pots above have one board. The whole pot goes to one hand, so the hand values are the ones you know from normal poker, only everyone is in. Use the one board setting in the calculator.
- Random timing. When the bomb pot comes at random, you cannot plan around it. At WPT Global, for example, that is 8 big blinds about every 12 minutes: count it as part of the cost of the table.
- Pot sizes. At $0.50/$1 an 8 big blind bomb pot six-handed is a $48 pot before the flop. The first pot-sized bet in Omaha is $48.
What we would check before playing
- Is the bomb pot every hand, at intervals or random? Can you sit out?
- One board or two? Hold'em or Omaha, and how many cards?
- The ante in big blinds, and whether rake is taken from the bomb pot.
- The site's licence and whether it accepts players from where you live.
