The ten-second clock
At a live table you get ten seconds. From today the trainer gives you the same.
Everything you have drilled is useless if it takes you twenty seconds at the table, because the table will not wait and you will fall back on feel. Today the trainer puts a ten-second clock on every decision. The pass mark drops to eighty percent, because speed costs accuracy at first; by the end of the week it should not.
If you are consistently late, you are still counting. Go back to the shape: three in a row over the board, two, a hole, below. Colour, colour, average, price.
