Assume the worst
A bet and a raise in front of you. Count only what beats the nuts.
One bet can be anything. A bet and a raise, or the same player betting big on two streets, is a hand. When that happens, stop counting what you have and count only what beats the nuts: a safe nuts is a hundred, a nut straight is fifty because it is so often shared, otherwise your nut outs times four on the flop, times two on the turn, zero on the river. Average the boards, compare with the price, call or fold. Never raise without a safe nuts.
The one adjustment is the player. Someone who plays one board and raises with it leaves your other board alive, so you can meet the method halfway between the worst case and the table. Someone who plays both boards gets the full worst case.
If you made the first bet and got raised: a safe nuts calls, everything else folds. You lost one bet, not a stack.
A nut straight on one board: call, never raise.
Today's hand on the table
A deal that shows what today is about, with the method at your seat. Step through it, or let it run. Deal again for another.
