Week one: the eye
Forty boards, both colours, nine of ten right. Then you are ready for the method.
Nothing new today. Forty boards, two colours each, and the bar goes up to nine in ten. If you are below it, repeat tomorrow before moving on; the method in week two is built on reading colours without thinking, and a method you have to think about is not fast enough for a live table.
Two things to check in yourself while you drill. Do you still want to call two pair orange? It is grey. Do you still count outs when a three-card run is sitting on the board? Look for the shape instead.
A paired board: no straight is the nuts.
Today's hand on the table
A deal that shows what today is about, with the method at your seat. Step through it, or let it run. Deal again for another.

THE 30-DAY COURSE
A plan for your next game.
One lesson. One drill set. A little more clarity at the table.
