Two boards together
The second board is not a bonus. It is half of your hand.
Players who come from single-board games look at the board where they connected and treat the other one as a side bet. The pot does not. Half of the money goes to the other board every time, and every chip you put in is paying for both halves.
That is why one great board and one dead board is a medium hand, and why two medium boards can be a strong hand against one opponent: it is hard for anyone to hold the nuts on both, so you usually win at least one half and sometimes both. It is also why the all-in with the nuts on one board and nothing on the other earns nothing against a caller who is live on the other board. You get your bet back and split what was there.
Say both colours every time, even when one of them is obviously grey. The habit is the point.
Going all in for half a pot is the most expensive mistake in this game.
